The November 2017 CELC Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Linda Brown. Linda has worked at Calvary for over eleven years and was chosen for this award due to her calm, Christ-like demeanor and her continued dedication to go above and beyond in the workplace. Linda is always flexible, has a team player attitude and embodies the verse Colossians 3:23 in her everyday actions: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men.” She has her Child Development Associate credential in Infant/Toddler and is one of the teachers is Infant 2, a classroom of 6-12 month olds. She is polite and respectful to both staff and parents and her sweet, nurturing spirit calms the infants in her care. She is always professional in appearance and conduct and is often seen in her classroom off-the-clock cleaning and organizing her room, and over the years has flourished in both toddler and infant classes. Linda is a great mentor to the younger women on staff both in and outside of the workplace, and has skills that make her both a great teacher and caregiver. She works well with all personalities and is a favorite among her colleagues, the children in her care, and her coworkers. It is evident to all that know her that child care is her life’s ministry. Calvary is lucky to have such a dependable, dedicated teacher who serves the Lord in all her duties.
Linda will be honored at our CELC Staff Banquet, Friday, December 8th, 2017.
